Signature Drink

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

When preparing for a wedding it’s always nice to have something special to signify its all about the bride and groom. I know many might ask what is a signature drink? A signature drink is a unique way to express the culture and personality of the couple. They create a drink to coordinate with the theme and color of the couple’s wedding. This drink is usually served during cocktail hour. Many times when the bartender creates this drink he will make a his and her version of the same drink. Couples today feel like providing a signature drink will take their wedding to whole other level. In addition providing the guest with this special drink instead of giving them an open bar and allowing them to order any and everything could actually cut cost. If you are considering adding this to your wedding have fun with it.

Timeline

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

A timeline is essential! It is the most important task that needs to be completed for the wedding it provides each task on the wedding schedule a time to start. Without a timeline everything will be disarray . It provides the bride/groom with a list of their events at the wedding and places them in order. The wedding timeline provides the couple and coordinator with a guide to keep the bridal party on track.  Additionally it makes the wedding coordinator’s life much easier by giving her something to follow.  Providing a timeline helps the wedding flow as seamlessly as possible. In addition it relieves stress to all parties involved. In my experience it takes a lot to stress the groom, they normally just let it roll of their back but on the other hand the smallest thing can and will give the bride anxiety. Having this will keep everything from the beginning to the end of the wedding on time. Lets keeps our clients stress level down by providing a timeline.

Step Parents

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

Don’t forget the stepparents,

For many brides showing their love to their stepparents is important. Many weddings can make stepparents feel left out not intentionally but it happens. The bride and groom  become so engrossed in the wedding until they forget to include the stepmother and or father. Today their are so many ways to make them feel like they too are part of the wedding. Here are a several ways to include your stepparents for instance the stepfather you can always allow him along with your biological father to walk you down the aisle. In addition its always nice to have the stepparents give a welcome at the wedding.  Include them on the invitation is always a creative way to make them feel part of your big day. The most common way to include your stepparents would be to place them in the same colors as your wedding party. What about placing them in charge of your rehearsal dinner by allowing them to choose the place and time? Including them in your photos or even a special dance would surely make them feel included but I believe the most important thing that would definitely make them feel special would be to have the bride take them with her to pick out your bridal gown. I hope these ideas were helpful but with all that said the most important thing is to remember to include the stepparents because you want them to feel loved too!

Until we meet again

Rent your bridal gown

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

Designer wedding gowns have played a significant part in the brides today. Brides believe the wedding dress is the most important part of her wedding. Today gowns are not only the most important but the most expensive part of the wedding as well. Renting a wedding dress has started becoming the new trend. Brides have found that by renting their gown it has given them an opportunity to wear something beautiful without breaking the bank and it also keeps them within their budget. In addition it also allows them to spend money on the wedding elsewhere. Women are starting to ask themselves why should I go broke by buying a high-priced gown that I will only wear for a couple of hours. Renting their dress gives them the opportunity to wear the dress of their dreams without becoming financially strapped. For many years brides have been renting every other thing at their wedding from the men’s attire to the dishes at the reception so why not this.

HONORING A LOVED ONE

Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

As a wedding coordinator one of the most important things I found in planning a wedding is somehow incorporating a lost loved one into the picture. I also had this painful dilemma to deal with when my daughter got married. It was difficult for my daughter to deal with the passing of her grandmother but even more heartbreaking to know she wouldn’t be there to see her walk down the aisle. My daughter wanted to do something special to include her Nana so she cut some fabric in the shape of a heart from one of my mother’s camisoles and sewed it in the inside of her wedding dress near her heart. She mentioned having that small piece of fabric gave her a peace as the Bible says that surpasses all understanding. In addition to placing that material in her dress I felt compelled to slip my mother’s wedding band on her finger before walking down the aisle.

Deciding how to honor a loved one can be extremely difficult because you want to make sure you show how much you valued that individual. Whether you choose to say a pray before you walk down the aisle, acknowledge their absence or incorporate them in your special day do what feels right to you.

Here are a couple of ideas

  • Wear something that reminds you of that person.
  • Program
  • Flowers
  • Candles
  • Jewelry
  • Photos
  • Favors
  • Dedication
  • Reef on their seat
  • Moment of silence
  • Butterfly
  • Doves
  • Balloons
  • Slideshow
  • Memorial Tags
  • Wrap fabric around bouquet
  • Carry their bible
  • Charitable donation
  • Handkerchief

Wedding Jumpsuits

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TWVAB

Ladies those of you who are brides and consider yourself a different or tad bit tomboyish they have started a trend just for you. You no longer have to wear a white or ivory lace gown that you need your entire bridal party to help you get into. That’s right ladies no more crash diets to get in that beautiful traditional gown that you bought to please your mother.

Today’s new trend you can rock your pants or even shorts and look just as beautiful and feminine as you would if you wore a beautiful lace gown. Don’t think for one second that because a bride chooses to wear trousers for her special day she’s considered masculine. This person is just as stunning as any bride wearing an elegant dress.

Ladies just think you can be beautiful and comfortable at the same time. Someone who is bold enough to display this fashion shows that they are a leader and will not conform based on what society thinks they should do. I personally love this new trend!  With this new trend you can even incorporate both a dress and pants. This trend has been worn on the runway. If you are looking for something different and unique this is for you. This new wedding style is bound to turn any head.

Onsite Wedding Coordinator versus Independent Wedding Coordinator

Onsite Wedding Coordinator versus Independent Wedding Coordinator

With the most popular wedding month approaching us many people are posing the question. Why should I hire a wedding coordinator when the venue has a coordinator?  Well one reason you should hire a coordinator is so that you have someone that has your best interest at hand. The job of a wedding planner is to assist in prioritizing and making sure your wedding goes off without a hitch. A planner provides a variety of services such as creating a theme as well as assists you in various appointments. Planners are there from the beginning of you creating until the last light goes off at the reception. A planner’s responsibility is to provide a stress free environment for the Bride/Groom by taking on the majority of the tasks.

A venues coordinators responsibility is to provide a date for couple based on venues availability. The coordinator makes sure that the services from that particular venue are executed by on site operations team. The venue coordinators job is also to be a liaison between the venue and the couple. They also draw up a contract and make sure all details are put in contract. In addition they also take payments on the bride/grooms behalf. Their responsibility on their wedding day is to make certain that the site is set up properly. Lastly they work hand in hand with personal coordinator to ensure that the ceremony/reception that the Bride/Groom envisions is implemented with perfection.

Boho Chic Wedding

What is a Boho Chic Wedding

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne

Recently we have had to change our name from the Last Detail Events due to our clients getting confused with another company with the same name. The new name is “The Wedding Veil Beyond “. You will see me refer to the company from time to time by TWVAB.

The type of people who like Boho Chic weddings are carefree individuals. I like to think this wedding is normally in a natural environment. By no means would this fall under modern or traditional wedding. They like to use the outdoors as their focal point of their wedding as well as their inspiration. It would be considered as unconventional as they come. Normally the couple that chooses to go this route has a carefree spirit and their everyday style tends to mix and match. For instance they will incorporate various wild flowers and other things from our natural environment to give a beautiful earthy look. The couple will incorporate various whimsical things to enhance their theme by adding a chic look to it.

This theme gives the individuals an opportunity to have a personalized wedding. What makes this style so unique is it’s almost impossible for someone to duplicate your wedding. I personally like to think of this look as a Hippie and Indian look infused together. Most Boho brides shop at the flea markets or thrift stores to try to find that particular chic look. Most women as a young child dream of this big day their wedding. The man normally forgoes any ideas they may have to add to this special day to please their partner. Now if you’re someone who is different and prefers a simple but unique look this would be great for you.

This would give you an opportunity to really show your personality through your wedding.

If this is the type of wedding you would like but don’t know where to start.

I will provide you with a few tips to get you started.

Everyone knows next to the vows the bridal dress is the most important part of the wedding so when shopping for it your dress look for something simple and chic. Your next question would probably be like what? Find something simple like a flowing dress in a chiffon, organza or lace without the bedazzling

The bride’s shoes are very plain, sandal and even barefoot.

The head piece should not be made with any man made products. The headpiece should be a wreath made with natural things such as flowers, twine and berries.

The bride’s hairstyle should not be anything perfect or well put together but very messy. It’s almost like you just jumped out of bed. Personally I found the messier to be more fitting for this theme.

When you are in search for a location consider a place that is surrounded by our beautiful nature. For instance choose a gorgeous vineyard, beautiful backyard ranch or a ranch style home to be the most popular. The beauty of having the wedding outdoors is you don’t have to do a lot of decorating because you use the natural scenery to be your decorations.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need any assistance putting this or any other type of wedding together I can help so contact me at 909)529-6287.

How to set a Budget /Priorities

A Few Sweet Details!

Hey guys it’s me again Daphne from TLDE!

Budget /Priorities

I want to talk about how important it is for the couple to set a budget and establish priorities for spending when planning a wedding.

The first thing the couple needs to do is determine the amount of money they will have available towards the wedding between the two of them after paying their necessities, monthly commitments and putting money into their savings. After determining the amount they need to decide what is important to the both of them by categorizing it by the most important to the least important.

In the past it was the bride’s parent’s responsibility to pay for the entire wedding but today is a different time where either the couple pays for it themselves unless one or both their parents commit to helping. Secondly before you bring the family into the wedding process you need to have the items priced out, as well as the stores these items can be purchased from. Now I don’t want you to confuse these items with those things that will be part of your gift registry, for these items are only for use in the wedding ceremony and reception. Many times the family will either give money or pay for specific items the couple needs. If the family chooses to pay for items the money the couple was going to use themselves towards that item should go directly into their savings.

Nerveless it is important that the couple does not include the money from their parents, or other relatives when setting their budget. They should create a budget solely on what the two of them can afford and any additional money should be considered a bonus. That doesn’t mean that since you have this extra money from your family that you should go crazy and add to your wedding plans. It’s important that you stick with your original plans in order to live comfortably after the wedding.

Also if the family needs to make payments the couple needs to make arrangements with vendors. The following things that need to be covered when making payment arrangements are a specific date they are able to make payments and the date it needs to be paid off.

Lastly since the couple has already budgeted for the wedding it would be great if any additional funds that are received from the wedding the couple put into a savings account to help give them a kick start towards their savings acct.

Until Next Week
